Worthy Is the Lamb

The Song's Story

I began writing "Worthy Is the Lamb" in 2022 during one of those nights when my Beloved Amy and I stayed up until dawn doing music things together. It's something we enjoy immensely: she plays the keyboard; I start singing whatever words come to me; and every now and then something begins to take shape. That night, what took shape was the first verse and chorus of this song.

We wrote down the little that had come to me, but I never got around to finishing the song until I discovered Suno, which as I have said before, was a game-changer. I added a second verse and a bridge, and "Worthy Is the Lamb" was finally completed.

At its heart, this is a simple song of praise and gratitude for what Christ gave us at the cross. We are sinful and imperfect, and there is nothing we can do to make ourselves worthy of that sacrifice. Yet He chose to love and redeem us anyway. The heart of the song is summed up in two lines:

For no matter how unworthy I am, You're my Redeemer
Oh, worthy is the Lamb

This song is my expression of gratitude for the gifts of grace and redemption—gifts I could never earn, offered freely by a Savior whose love for us is beyond measure.
