Cream-colored walls and warm wooden counters bear the marks of meals prepared and shared. The air carries the aromas of bread, coffee, and something simmering low on the stove in a copper kettle that sits on top of one of the burners. Another narrow stone path leading away from the house can be seen through a sliding glass door off to the side.
